Cityreaching in 2009
2009 Regional CIRs
► Regional CIR in Upstate New York May 4-5, 2009. Speakers were Dr. John Perkins and Dr. Glenn Barth.
► Pacific Northwest Regional CIR in Portland - Nearly 70 leaders from 16 cities across the Northwest gathered in Portland for 25 hours of equipping on November 30 - December 1. Alan Doswald from Fresno, California shared with us not only his journey but also the journey of the city. Spiritual leaders there are taking Jesus' commands to "love your neighbor" literally, and are committing to the simple process of praying, caring and sharing the gospel with everyone on their street. The story of this city can and will impact cities throughout the Pacific Northwest. Click here for a summary report

City Impact Roundtable History
The City Impact Roundtables (CIR) have developed out of Mission America Coalition meetings. Christian transformational leaders from cities across the nation have gathered twice a year for the purpose of building relationships, sharing kingdom-sized vision for holistic evangelism and revival, and praying together for united ministry throughout the Body of Christ. They have met in the roundtable format so that participants might also be contributors to the "city-reaching" process in their area. CIR has had national meetings where 50 or more cities have been represented and also sponsors regional gatherings for further implementation in local areas. CIR working groups met for two years (2002, 2003) on specific topics. Their reports are available in the CIR archive.
The CIR is a peer-to-peer meeting of Christian leaders who are prayerfully seeking the unity of the Church for holistic evangelism, the revival and renewal of the Church, leading to a cultural awakening and transformation. We are Acts 4:12 Christians who are seeking to live out the Gospel - good works and good words in Christ's name.
The CIR format includes:
- Brief focus-presentations from Christian leadership prompting...
- Roundtable prayer and discussions followed by...
- Consensus on collaborative ministry strategy.
The purpose of the CIR is:
- Peer-to-peer learning in the area of cityreaching...
- In the context of worship (prayer and praise)...
- Leading to strategic partnerships for the Kingdom of God.
